On Tuesday, November 3, at 7:00 p.m., the Cathedral of Barcelona will open the exhibition «The Pia Almoina of Barcelona. The feudal domain of charity», which explores the history of this medieval institution dedicated to assisting those most in need.
The exhibition highlights the charitable legacy of the Pia Almoina, as well as the feudal assets it managed to sustain its work. It features a selection of original documents from the Cathedral’s Chapter Archive.
The opening will include remarks by the Dean of the Cathedral of Barcelona, Dr. Santiago Bueno, and the Director of the Chapter Archive, Dr. Robert Baró. A brief tour of the exhibition will follow.
